Royal Society Career Development Fellowship for researchers from Black heritage

Royal Society have launched a new scheme, the Career Development Fellowship, which aims to provide the most talented early career scientists from underrepresented groups in STEM with research funding and high-quality training opportunities to build a strong base for a successful research career.ÌýÌý

The Career Development Fellowship (CDF) is a four-year, postdoctoral research fellowship that aims to support the retention in STEM of researchers from underrepresented backgrounds. The scheme will initially run as a pilot with researchers from Black heritage. If successful, the pilot may be broadened to researchers from other underrepresented groups.ÌýÌýÌý

Applicants must self-identify as being from a Black heritage including mixed Black background and have a PhD or will have one by the time the funding starts (but have less than 24 months post-doctoral experience).

On Tuesday 31 October 13:00-14:00 the Research Funding Development (RFD) team are hosting an online briefing session for this call which will provide an overview of the scheme aims, eligibility, application and assessment criteria, as well as outlining the internal processes for submitting funding bids and the support available across your faculty, school and the RFD. Ìý
