Our academic and office buildings will be closed from鈥�Friday 22 December 2023 until Monday 1 January 2024 inclusive.听
During the closure period, we will also be performing essential works on our data centre, which will impact the availability of some of our systems and building access.听 听
- The majority of our systems will be fully operational until 07:00 Wednesday 27 December, with a few select systems and High-Performance Computers offline from 16:00 Thursday 21 December.鈥�听
- All our cloud-based systems, such as Teams, email, OneDrive and SharePoint, will remain operational throughout the period, as will Wi-Fi.鈥��听
- If a system is not on , please assume it will not be available from 07:00 Wednesday 27 December to 18:00 Monday 1 January.鈥�听
- As per our usual process, from 18:00 21 December 2023 to 06:00 2 January 2024, access to our campus buildings will be closed and restricted to essential entry only.鈥�听

University catering outlets听
The Hartley Library Starbucks will be open 08:00 鈥� 16:00 18-21 December and 27-29 December. All other catering outlets will be closed throughout the winter break.听
Southampton Sport facilities opening times听听听
All sport facilities will be closed on 19, 25 and 26 December. Excluding these, the facilities will be open from 08:00-20:00 from 21 December – 2 January.
