Your invitation to attend Town Hall updates on the UniForum findings

As you may recall, we took part in the Uniforum exercise in November to better understand the size and shape of our Professional Services and understand opportunities to build on our successes. We have now received the findings from this exercise and have begun the internal analysis. We would like to thank everyone who was involved in the process and the valuable part they played in gathering this data.

A series of Town Halls, hosted by Wendy Appleby, will be hosted throughout June for colleagues to hear more and raise any queries. More details and additional information can be found on the .

During the autumn we also took part in the Teaching Effort Benchmarking (TEB) exercise. This highlighted that we have a complex set of courses and programmes at Southampton compared to many universities. This is an area where we have already done much work in the university and this additional insight will help UEB to further progress our thinking.

At a high level, the outline results for us are balanced and are comparable to similar UK universities. These results have now been shared with Executive Directors and UEB for their analysis and insights.

Our next steps will be to further investigate the data and develop action plans to further enable Professional Services to deliver an exceptional quality service to our University in a competitive environment, and support our ambitions of sustainable growth as a world class University.
