Innovation Pathway
The panel was chaired by Diana Galpin, Director of Enterprise and Knowledge Exchange as well as being supported by Dr Laura Powell, Technology Transfer Associate, and Ruth Saw, Impact Funding Manager.

These applicants have the opportunity to put forward a full application to UKRI and will be supported by RIS over the next 6 weeks to create a competitive application for the Proof of Concept fund.
Proof of Concept Fund:
The UKRI Proof of concept funding opportunity aims to support and accelerate the development of new or improved technologies, products, processes, and services arising from research activities at eligible UK research organisations.
The  will provide critical, focused early-stage support to commercialisation opportunities. It will help foster innovations that have the potential to significantly improve societal wellbeing and economic outcomes, supporting the translation of groundbreaking research into solutions that enhance lives and communities. The proposed activities should help accelerate opportunities, already in the commercialisation pathway, towards spinout creation, including by social enterprises or to IP licensing.
