The University’s LGBTQ+ Student Union Society and the PULSE Staff Network invite staff and students to join in and honour the memory of transgender individuals whose lives were lost due to anti-transgender violence. Transgender Day of Remembrance is observed annually on Thursday 20 November.

Between 10:00-16:00 onÌýThursday 20 November, you can spend time and reflect in ourÌý Memorial Space in the Quiet Room of the Faith & Reflection Centre (Highfield Campus). You will also have the opportunity to add names of those you know who have sadly lost their lives.
SUSU continue to support our Transgender student community during Transgender Awareness Week and beyond. ÌýInitiatives have included aÌýÌýat the Jubilee Plaza (pictured above), as well as a dedicated vigil on the Redbrick onÌýThursday 20 NovemberÌýat 15:00. ÌýThere will be a moment of silence, name reading, poetry and other observances.
