The Academic Skills Service usual drop-in scheduleÌýwon’tÌýbe runningÌýbetween Monday 15 DecemberÌýandÌýMondayÌý5ÌýJanuary, when it will resume with Writing Cafés, Academic Skills Drop-ins, and Maths and Stats drop-ins as usual.Ìý

Staying active with Southampton SportÌý
If you would like to use the Southampton Sport facilitiesÌýover the break, the Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre is only closedÌýonÌýThursday 25ÌýandÌýFriday 26 December, and openÌý08:00-20:00 fromÌýSaturday 27 DecemberÌýuntilÌýFriday 2 January, when it returns toÌýusualÌýhours.ÌýOther facilities such asÌýMayflower Gym and Wide Lane will be closed fromÌýThursday 25 December,Ìýreopening onÌýSaturday 3ÌýJanuary.

Throughout the winter breakÌý(15 December – 4 January), Southampton Sport are offering students free access to the Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre pool or gym, even if you don’t have a membershipÌý– to benefit, simplyÌýshow your student ID atÌýreception and mention you would like to use theÌýActive for Students offer.ÌýIf youÌýhave any questions about this offer, you canÌýcontact Southampton Sport for more information.Ìý

Food outlets
Many of the University’s catering outlets will continue to be open during the winter break, with opening times varying from week to week. While Piazza will be closed for the duration of the break, The Arlott, Avenue Café, The Artisan (Sir James Matthews), WSA Café, NOC Café, and the Hartley Library Starbucks will still be available. All outlets will be closed for the University closure period fromÌýThursday 25 December, reopening onÌýMonday 5 January.

Your Students’ Union
Students’ Union outlets such as The Shop, The Bridge, and TheÌýStag’sÌýhave varying opening timesÌýduring the break, so make sure youÌýÌýif you are planning to visit. Building 42Ìýwill remain open from 08:00 to 22:00Ìýduring the weekdaysÌýuntilÌýTuesday 23 December.Ìý
ÌýwillÌýalso be available untilÌýTuesday 23 December, reopening onÌýMonday 5 January.Ìý

IT support
IT support services, including ServiceLine and our Tech HubsÌýin Hartley Library and the Sir James Matthews Building, willÌýnot be availableÌýfrom WednesdayÌý24 December untilÌýthey reopen on Monday 5ÌýJanuary.Ìý
