The benefits to you
MyCareer is quick, easy and absolutely free of charge.
You can add, preview, update and delete your job postings as required.
You can express interest in areas of collaboration with the University, for example, Careers Fairs, which allows us to send you information and notify you when opportunities become available.
We can advertise the following types of vacancy for you:
Graduate level vacancies and graduate training schemes, with an immediate or future start date.
Placement schemes e.g. summer internships and work experience opportunities.
Part time, term time and vacation work.
Voluntary positions in the UK. Please see below for further information about our Volunteering Bank.
We adhere to the ÌýEqual Opportunities Policy and Best Practice in Graduate Recruitment.
Volunteering Bank
We provide a free service to UK-based registered charities, enabling you to advertise volunteering roles to our students and graduates throughout the year.
Ìý
If your role is with a registered charity or not-for-profit organisation, is based in the UK and is free for students and graduates to undertake then we can promote the opportunity for you.
Ìý
To advertise your role, please register your organisation on and then upload your role to the Volunteering Bank section. Students and graduates will then apply directly to you. Please see our Volunteering Bank Organisation Guidelines and MyCareer Employer Guide for further information.
Ìý
Please note:
We rely on the charities we work with to inform us of volunteers recruited from the Volunteering Bank. Please help us by letting us know who you have appointed as soon as possible.
It is the responsibility of the charity to be in contact with all applicants to let them know whether they have been successful and to keep applicants up to date with the recruitment process as it progresses. By posting roles on the Volunteering Bank, you are agreeing to this as a term of advertising.
Whilst it is possible to recruit both undergraduate and postgraduate volunteers, during vacation periods there are far fewer students available so please bear this in mind when planning your roles. Please see theÌýUniversity term datesÌýfor more information.
Careers, Employability and Student EnterpriseÌýdoes not support organisations that offer unpaid placements or volunteering opportunities whereby an organisation charges volunteers for participation.
Recruitment Agencies
We do not allow advertisements for students to register with a recruitment agency. However, we do permit agencies to advertise specific opportunities, provided that you disclose the name of the employer for whom you are recruiting for to us.
Our MyCareer Privacy Notice outlines how we collect and process your data when you access MyCareer as an employer.
