Volunteers

A key part of what keeps the Faith & Reflection Centre running are the volunteers that support with the day to day running of the centre or are on hand to support with ad hoc activity when it is needed.

Meet our volunteers

MaxÌý

After many years in the university's IT department, Max took early retirement and now has a new campus role as a volunteer in the Faith and Reflection Centre, running English Conversation. He enjoys using chopsticks, wearing kilts, writingÌýshorthandÌýand dabbling in Esperanto and Mandarin, and likes the idea of being a minimalist.ÌýÌý

Frank and David CÌý

Frank and David C. are two of our Quaker volunteers who are ready to welcome you and have a chat every Monday afternoon or you can join them for the quiet hour 13:00 - 14:00 in the upper room for some quiet reflection time.Ìý

LindyÌý

Lindy has been a volunteer at the FRC since Nov 2021. She enjoys getting to know the people who come to the FRC and helping with the activities, especially arts and craft.ÌýÌý

Tim D.Ìý

Tim studied Electronic Engineering here for 7 years and now works for a local church!ÌýHe'sÌýalways happy to chat about faith,ÌýspiritualityÌýand figuring out how to live a good life.ÌýÌý

David H.Ìý

David has been a volunteer at the Faith and Reflection Centre since September 2014. He lives in Southampton and has five children and nine grandchildren. He is passionate about helping folks here atÌýUniversityÌýand alsoÌýin other places in his Christian life and in the church that he attends. He believes God has given him a life to help others in whatever situation they are in their life.Ìý
