Founded in 2009 and ranking in the top 60 universities in India, JGU is a partner university with ongoing Progression and Study Abroad agreements in Social Science.
This has led to a healthy exchange of students studying law at Southampton Law School and at the Jindal ¸£Àû×ÅƬ Law School. JGU, jointly with Southampton, won a grant within the UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) Study in India project to host students from the UK for short-term mobility programmes. In December 2019 Southampton welcomed Professor C Raj Kumar (founding VC of OP Jindal ¸£Àû×ÅƬ University) to give a talk on Corruption as a Violation of Human Rights in India.
