The Festival will run from Friday 8th to Sunday 17th March 2024 andÌýyou will be able to contributeÌýtwo different types of events:

SubmissionsÌýfor allÌýactivitiesÌýare password protected, withÌýa one-stage process for the Southampton Science and Engineering wider festival and a three-stage processÌýfor Science and Engineering Day.

After each submission, you will receive an automated confirmation emailÌýwith a summary of your inputÌýimmediately on completion.

Please note that there are firm deadlines for each of the stages. These are set in order for us to deliver the best experience possible for both exhibitors and visitors and make sure that all requirements and expectations are met for our venues too.

If you are a researcher at the University of Southampton looking to showcase your projectÌýat Southampton Science and Engineering Festival, please note that the internal call at the University of Southampton for contributorsÌýusuallyÌýopens in December/early January.

An 'Exhibitor Registration' call will be posted on SUSSED, Staff Matters, on the and sent to theÌýPEN mailing list.ÌýThese internal communications will contain information to submit your activity.

STUDENT AMBASSADORS : students at the University of Southampton looking to volunteer alongside researchers or staff, or to be paid to work as a Student Ambassador are asked to check with their local Student Ambassador scheme (a call will be send out by email at the beginning of January for general helpers) or get in touch by sending an e-mail to festival.ambassador@soton.ac.uk . Opportunities to join as Student Ambassadors will also be advertised on the .

This call is open to national and international collaborators of researchers at the University of Southampton, freelance artists, public engagement professionals, local cultural venues, schools, trusts and community groups.
