The University of Southampton Roadshow was born in 2009 as the "Science of the Ocean" roadshow, aÌýproject developed and ledÌýbyÌýDr Steve Dorney, PERu Director at the time, in collaboration with (NOC).
This firstÌýroadshow was aÌýmultidisciplinary effort from different schools across the University around the theme of ocean sciences and included theÌýfollowing stands:

In 2010 the UoS Roadshow then developed into 'Spectrum of Science' roadshow, an itinerant showÌýshowcasing different type of science, including:
The Roadshow was then co-ordinated byÌýSteveÌýand Dr Tony Curran, currently the PERu Lead for Spectrum of Public Engagement.

In 2012, the UoS Roadshow tookÌýits final name 'Bringing Research to Life' to includeÌýthe fullÌýspectrum of STEAM research spanning across all theÌýfaculties in the University.
The showcased activities included: Singing Bubbles, Hearing Music, 3D Colour Printing, The Life of Satellites, Brain and Rewards, 21st Century Traffic Control, Music and Technology, Carbon Footprinting, Robotics.

Since then,ÌýBringing Research to LifeÌýRoadshow has reached tens of thousands of peopleÌýatÌýlocal and nationalÌýevents across the centre and south of the UK, and it is now a renown and sought standÌýin keyÌýregional and national events, including theÌýSouth Dawns Green Fair and Glastonbury Festival.
