In late January 2011鈥� the University and Colleges Employers Association (UCEA) informed member institutions that in UCEA鈥檚 view鈥� members were free to consider the payment to staff of a salary award of 0.4% backdated to August 2010. The University would want to pay the award to staff as quickly as possible鈥� and therefore the new pay scales will be applied to the February 2011 payroll鈥� and the February salaries will also contain the appropriate amount of back pay for eligible individual staff.
