'Print matters' exhibition

Print matters is a group of three exhibitions related to artists’ publications, ranging from seminal artists’ books produced in the 1960s, to contemporary zines made by Graphic Arts students at Winchester School of Art.

The three exhibitions are:

A visual journey through the artist’s book, curated by Linda Newington, is shown in the Special Collections Gallery on Level 4 of the Hartley Library, and grouped around four themes: beginnings, narratives, interventions and constructions. Runs until 25 March 2011.

Follow-ed (after Hokusai) is an exhibition of books inspired by American artist Edward Ruscha, collected and curated by Tom Sowden and Michalis Pichler, shown in the Winchester Gallery. Runs until 10 March. Open Tuesday to Friday 10.00am to 4.30pm

Zines, curated by James Branch and Ciu Su, is displayed in the Level 4 Gallery, Hartley Library. Runs until 25 March 2011.
