Development Manager, Robert Wayman wins European award for fundraising

Robert Wayman,ÌýDevelopment Manager in the office of Development and Alumni Relations, has been nominated and selected as the winner of the CASE Europe Iain More Award 2015.

and theÌýaward recognises the outstanding achievements of an emerging fundraising professional. The award is in recognition of Iain More, one of Europe’s leading fundraisers.

This award recognises the following contributions from an individual:

  • ÌýMeasurable evidence of excellence, innovation, impact and integrity in fundraising
  • Commitment to the profession through sharing good practice with peers, seeking volunteer opportunities in the profession
  • Particular achievements in their career, and a track record of consistent performance

Describing why RobertÌýhad been selected, John Middleton, Executive Director, CASE Europe said:

Robert’sÌýproven fundraising success, establishment of the UK’s first Special Gifts Network, and willingness to share his knowledge and support hisÌýcolleagues and the wider sector, all contributed to his successful nomination.

This recognition of Robert and his achievements comes at a positive time for the University and our philanthropic and engagement activity.

This year sees the formal launch of the University’s £25m which has already resulted in six times the number ofÌý new donors to the UniversityÌýand a significant increase in income of £6m year-to-date, compared to £3.7m last year.

Robert will be presented with hisÌýaward at the CASE Annual Conference later this summer.
