Joanna Smith, a member of staff in the , is taking on a bold challenge to help raise awareness and to collect donations in aid of the Campaign for the .
At 14:00 this afternoon, Jo will shave her head on behalf of the campaign. The aim is that her efforts will inspire others to support the campaign.
Jo feels that because cancer affects the lives of so many people, she wanted to do something personally that would get people鈥檚 attention and in her own words 鈥渟omething extreme鈥�. She feels passionately about the ground-breaking work being carried out by the University in the area of cancer research and immunology.聽Jo works as an Early Years Practitioner and has been employed by the University for over 8 years.
