The University will hold the Careers and Placements Fair on Tuesday 23 February 2016 ´Ú°ù´Ç³¾Ìý11.00-15.00Ìýat Garden Court and Hartley Suite, Buildings 40 and 38, Highfield Campus.
Who Should Attend?
The Careers and Placements Fair will appeal to all students seeking placement, internship and graduate opportunities, or those who wish to investigate which career path they would like to follow. It is a way to gain more information from prospective employers.
A placement, volunteering or work experience opportunity is an excellent way to help you stand out from the crowd. Not only will it enable you to develop the skills that graduate employers look for when recruiting, it will also assist you in putting the skills, developed through your degree, into practice.
The Careers and Employability Service offers a range of exciting opportunities through the with over 500 paid internship opportunities available annually. The offers business consultancy experience, and the offers longer term placement projects. You can also find local role-based voluntary opportunities through the . The Careers and Employability Service will also have a second stand at this event, so please come and speak to a member of the Careers team about a , workshops, presentations and one-to-one discussions designed to help you met your career goals.

Exclusively sponsored by PwC, the Fair has attracted the “Big Four” accountancy firms, along with a wide range of other organisations including IBM, Umphafa Private Nature Reserve, Hogan Lovells, Met Office, Alumni by Mthree Consulting, USA Summer Camp and Ford.

Stand Out From the Crowd Recruitment-Themed Events
To complement the Careers and Placements Fair, the Careers and Employability Service has organised a programme of recruitment-themed events to provide you with the ultimate guide on how to ‘stand out from the crowd’ in what is a competitive job market. The events will be held from Monday 15 to Friday 26 February and include a LinkedIn Lab at the Fair and a CV Clinic at the Careers Centre.
How to Book:
The sessions will be hosted by external companies, the Students’ Union or the University Career Practitioners. Login to  to register to attend these events. There is no need to register to attend the Careers and Placements Fair or the LinkedIn Lab, please just come along on the day.
