Cathy Day聽has been appointed as the new Director of Health and Safety at the University.
Cathy聽joined the University in August 2015 as 聽interim Head of Safety and Occupational Health and starts her permanent position聽on 1聽February 2016. Cathy previously held a similar role at the University of Bath.
Speaking about her new role, Cathy said:
“I鈥檓 very excited about the new role as I believe it offers a number of opportunities for us to develop a very proactive and positive health and safety service to help enable and contribute to the University鈥檚 aspirations of world class innovation and research.
“I believe that in order for us to achieve our goals we have to work together but we also have to understand how our actions and behaviour can affect everyone and everything around us.”
