Last month, the聽University聽celebrated聽the 1 year anniversary of our Mexico City office聽opening.
The event, hosted by Professor Peter Smith (Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor, International) and Sara Sandford, Regional Director (Americas and Europe) in the International Office, welcomed over 40 alumni, applicants and university partners to celebrate our successes in Mexico since opening the office in 2016.
The office is run in partnership with one of聽the University’s聽overseas representatives, Inova Education, who have been pivotal in developing our brand and strategy in Mexico.
Key to the success of the office has been the appointment of Paulo Camposeco, a Southampton alumnus (MSc Marketing Management 2014-15), who has continued to help the University build links with universities in Mexico, develop our relationship with a number of key funding organisations and build our alumni network across the country.
Professor Smith commented:
I was thrilled to be back in Mexico City a year after our successful launch, the impact of the office cannot be overstated in terms of building our recruitment in Mexico, and in engaging with our alumni. Paulo and the team at our partner Inova Education should be congratulated.
