Bronze level Athena SWAN award for Zepler Institute for Photonics and Nanoelectronics

We are delighted to announce that the has achieved a Bronze level Athena SWAN award.

These highly-esteemed awards recognise our commitment to gender equality for staff and students, bringing the current total to 12 awards across our University.

, Director of the Zepler Institute for Photonics and Nanoelectronics said:

鈥淲e are incredibly proud to have achieved this award. It recognises the commitment shown by our School to promote personal and professional growth for all genders within the fields of photonics and nanoelectronics. Our outreach, community and networking activities have been recognised by a recent Queen鈥檚 Anniversary Prize and we will continue to encourage gender-balanced interest from young people to choose this exciting career path.鈥

Professor Mark Spearing, President and Vice-Chancellor (Interim) added:
