The Huawei UK 鈥楽eeds for the Future鈥�听programme听is back for 2021 鈥� virtually! This is a fantastic opportunity for听UK undergraduate STEM听students to participate in a 4-week online training听programme听in June and July 2021.听
During the听programme, participants will have access to three weeks of bespoke live content, covering a wide range of topics,听including:
- Innovation in the UK
- Entrepreneurship in China
- The roles of 5G in transforming business听models
- The role of technology in tackling climate change
The听programme听will culminate with eight days of activities led by Huawei HQ in Shenzhen, where participants will have a chance to meet听鈥楽eeds for the Future鈥櫶齪articipants from other countries and to hear more about how Huawei operates as a global ICT business.
Participants will also benefit from听technical training听from some of the finest professionals in the industry and will have access to virtual tours of Huawei鈥檚 state-of-the-art facilities in China.
This year鈥檚 Seeds for the Future听programme听will be hosted virtually, but Huawei hope to be able to hold face-to-face meetings later in the year, restrictions permitting.
Last summer,听University of Southampton student Raphael Toner took part in the听programme. The now third year Physics student shared his experience:

To be considered for Huawei UK鈥檚 鈥楧igital Seeds for the Future鈥櫶齪rogramme听in 2021, you will need to match the following criteria:
- Be a UK national
- Be an undergraduate student studying a STEM or related discipline at a UK听university
- Possess excellent academic acumen 鈥� ideally with a strong interest in China and in Huawei as well as technology and sustainability听issues
