Last week, colleagues and postgraduate research students received an email from the 听about the University鈥檚 approach to the government鈥檚 further easing of restrictions.听Yesterday evening (12 July 2021), government confirmed 19 July 2021 as the next milestone in their roadmap out of Lockdown.听听
To confirm, as per the email to staff last week:听
- For the immediate future, our existing requirements around use of face coverings, social distancing and one-way systems will continue.听听
- Colleagues who need or want to be on campus can already do so, using our existing risk assessments and with decisions made at local level, by line managers. That approach will continue.听
- All鈥痵taff accessing our campuses and facilities听are still expected to test weekly,听even if听they听don鈥檛 have symptoms.听More information about staff testing is available on SUSSED News.听听
The听above听measures will now be reviewed in the light of the revised guidance to employers and to the HE听sector. Where we, and our local public health partners, feel it is appropriate, measures will be relaxed further or lifted entirely, with guidance and related signage changed.听
