World Mental Health Day 2024: 24/7 wellbeing support, activities, and more

Today, Thursday 10 October, is World Mental Health Day – a day to have positive conversations about mental health and raise awareness of the support that is available to you, as well as things you can do to boost your wellbeing.Ìý

24/7 wellbeing support

Our dedicated wellbeing services are accessible via and are here for you 24/7, 365 days a year. Whether you are feeling anxious, stressed, or just need someone to talk to, you can get in touch with the team by calling 02380 599 599, , or emailing studenthub@soton.ac.uk.

You can also come see us in person – The Student Hub is available across our campuses during the opening times on the website, while the dedicated wellbeing services are available 24/7 for in person walk-ins via The Student Hub in Building 37 on Highfield Campus.

A team member will provide you with a safe space to talk things through and support you in working out the right next steps – be it further support, guidance, strategies on dealing with various issues, or much more.

Get active with Be ActiveÌýÌý

Following the is a good way to support and maintain your wellbeing. If you are looking for a fun way to get moving and meet new people, the free Be Active programme has a wide range of activities taking place on Highfield Campus and in Winchester. From running groups to badminton, frisbee, pilates, and a virtual dance class, you will be able to find something you enjoy and boost your wellbeing in the process.ÌýÌý

Make a difference to student wellbeingÌýÌý
