The Medical Devices and Vulnerable Skin Network (MDVSN) was created to integrate the expertise required to introduce cutting edge technologies to reduce the incidence of chronic wounds arising from interventional medical devices.Ìý The network ran from 2014-2017.

The MDVSNPLUS project ran from 2016-2019 and looked at the use of intelligent sensing to promote self-management within medical devices.

Partners

The NetworkÌýengages with other partners,Ìýin particular our two supporting HTCs in Wound Prevention & Treatment and Devices for Dignity.

Biographies

The NetworkÌýhas brought together a interdisciplinary skill mix and expertise,Ìýled by the University of Southampton and King's College London.

Ìý

The MDVSN works in partnership with Devices for Dignity (D4D) HTC which drives forward innovative new products, processes and services to help people living with long time conditions.

The MDVSN also works in partnership with theÌýWoundTec HTC, which aims to transform the provision of wound care and wound prevention services.
