All Second Line Reviewers must review, confirm the contribution descriptor for, and authorise appraisals for the individuals they are responsible for by 15 October 2023.
All appraisals need to have been submitted in order to be authorised.
Second line reviewers must:
- Read the appraisal overall contribution notes and proposed contribution descriptors.
- If required, discuss the contribution descriptor with the appraiser.
- Enter the confirmed contribution descriptor.
- Add any additional comments you wish to make.
- Approve the form using the 鈥楢uthorise鈥� button once all the above have been complete.
Please note, you will not receive automatic prompts to remind you to complete your second line reviews and so it is recommended that you check your MyView dashboard regularly.
Second Line Reviewers have responsibility for quality assuring the Level 4-7 appraiser鈥檚 assessment of the appraisee, to ensure contribution descriptors are awarded fairly. Second Line Reviewers will usually be the appraiser鈥檚 Line Manager; however, this may vary depending on individual circumstances.
