Module overview
The focus of this module is to establish an understanding of the professional context of your discipline and to help develop a direction of thinking regarding future employment. The module will allow you to select and research some key industry design practitioners, design companies or illustration themes, which inspire you and that may influence your future career choices. It will offer you the opportunity to engage with career focussed concepts, issues and skills central to employability within your specialist illustration or interdisciplinary practice within a community of learning.
As you are about to undertake your final, self-initiated project, of level two, this module is placed at a critical juncture for your academic and practical skills development. It aims to enhance your ability to position yourself conceptually and visually within the illustration professions and to inspire your approach to creative practice, just at a time when your design practice is rapidly evolving.
