I have long held an interest in archaeology since a young age, growing up around the ruins of a Roman military fortress in South Wales. Coming to the University of Southampton in 2020 I quickly developed an interest in maritime archaeology, including spending a summer in the Greek Argolid working on submerged landscapes and submerged archaeological remains. Following this, I undertook a Master’s degree at the University of Southampton, focusing on coastal archaeology and ancient harbours in Eastern Libya, a region whose archaeology continues to hold my interest.
Since 2024 I have been continuing my studies at the University of Southampton, undertaking a PhD on prehistoric natural anchorages and maritime engagement in Cyprus during the Prehistoric Bronze Age (c.2500-1700 BCE). Alongside my research in Cyprus, I have also been involved in a number of archaeological projects in the United Kingdom including a number of geophysical surveys and intertidal excavations. My ongoing projects include the excavation of an 18th century shipyard at Buckler’s Hard, New Forest, and excavation of a Bronze Age burial barrow and community outreach near Andover.
