Project overview
The proposal aims to develop a complete methodology of satellite formation flying. As currently available methods are not suitable for reliable precision formation flying of small satellites, it is expected that a major breakthrough can be achieved in this field by further development and application of the recent results in the areas of constrained and nonlinear control. The practical output of this research will be the ability to find the simplest and most reliable on-board real-time control algorithms that can guarantee a required performance. In particular, the following problems are to be addressed.: (1) Development of a design system of reconfigurable constrained control for formation flying (2) Benchmark studies on realistic simulations
