I come from an Indic philosophical system, which encompasses the thinking that you can reach the same truth through multiple paths. And these personal values fit so well with what the University is trying to achieve. Here we work together, all bring our own experiences and backgrounds, look at problems from lots of different perspectives and find the best solution as one.

We have the perfect mix of expertise, design and manufacturing capabilities, collaborators and freedom to push the boundaries of the technology, co-design a device with the user and develop a prototype into the product. Working together, we are making a difference.

Our job as scientists is to inform the policymakers how the system operates, refine our data and models, and predict what the likely consequences are for our species and the planet as a result of our action. Our work can then be used to spark those incremental changes that will build slowly to see a new sustainable energy infrastructure and better mitigation of the impacts of the old.
