What is UK university Clearing?
Clearing is a way to apply for a University course that still has spaces available if you don’t have an offer or want to change your choice. Whether you're unsure about results day, rethinking your course, or applying to study in the UK for the first time, Clearing puts you in control.
How to contact us
Clearing at the University of Southampton opens on 2 July 2026. We'll confirm which courses have availability shortly before Clearing opens.
If we have places available on the course you're interested in and you meet our requirements, you'll be able to apply through Clearing.
We'll publish more details about our Clearing hotline, including telephone number and opening times, shortly before Clearing opens.
