About

Wilson was born and raised in Kenya and completed his PhD in Business Studies and Management at the University of Southampton in April 2026. He also studied his Undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance (BSc, 2:1) and Master’s degree in International Banking and Financial Studies (MSc, Distinction) at the same institution.

His research has received international recognition, including the Best Paper Presentation by a PhD Student award at the Haifa Social Science Conference in 2023, while his dissertation was shortlisted for the prestigious AIB Mark Casson and Peter J. Buckley Dissertation Award.

Wilson has published research in peer-reviewed journals including AIB Insights and the Journal of Contingencies and Crisis Management, with further work under review at Human Relations and in preparation for Organization Journal.

He has held various leadership roles within the Southampton University Students’ Union, most recently serving as a Student Trustee during the 2023–24 academic year, and has also undertaken teaching and demonstrator roles at the Bloomberg Trading Suite and University of Southampton Business School.

Wilson is an Associate Fellow of Advance HE, holds a CGMA Dip MA qualification, and currently works as a Finance Analyst specializing in financial and integrated reporting.
