Rose is the Module Lead for Miscarriages of Justice (LAWS3089) and Legal Skills (LAWS1023/2037) on the LLB and also teaches tutorials for Criminal Law (LAWS1020). 

As Director of the the SLS Death Penalty Casework Clinic ('DPCC'), Rose supervises a team of undergraduate students conducting practical clinical work on active death penalty cases in the United States. The DPCC won the Amicus Champions of Justice Award in both 2024 and 2025.

Rose was a finalist for OUP Law Teacher of the Year in 2025 and also received the Andrew Lee Jones Award from legal charity Amicus. 

Rose joined the University of Southampton in 2022. Previously, she was a Senior Tutor at the University of Law where she taught across the LLB, LPC, GDL, MA and the PGDip/MA. Before this, Rose taught Criminal Law at Birmingham City University.

She was admitted as an attorney in the state of New York in 2013 and, through the legal charity ‘Amicus’, spent most of 2017 at the Arizona Capital Representation Project. In 2019, Rose was invited to be a Scholar-in-Residence at the Law Library of Congress in Washington DC to make use of their catalogue for her doctoral project.

Rose established the Death Penalty Casework Clinic ('DPCC') at SLS in 2023, which supervises undergraduate law students to assist with document review on active death penalty cases in the US. The DPCC is currently the only Clinic of its kind in the UK and is a unique opportunity for students to engage with clinical legal education from day one of their degrees. The DPCC won a Champions of Justice Award in 2025 and 2024 for its exceptional work and had previously been shortlisted for the same award in 2023.
