Dr Dakshat Trivedi is a clinical metabolomics researcher specialising in ageing and chronic diseases, with a strong emphasis on translational, discovery, and precision medicine. He develops and applies advanced analytical approaches, including biological mass spectrometry (LC-MS, GC-MS), vibrational spectroscopy (FT-IR and Raman), and chemometrics, to investigate the role of metabolites in health and disease within diverse and underrepresented population studies.
Dakshat is currently a Research Fellow in the Clinical Metabolomics Unit at the University of Southampton, where he leads and contributes to multi-omics projects that integrate mass spectrometry with systems biology. His research bridges analytical chemistry and clinical science to inform diagnostics and therapeutic strategies.
Beyond research, he is a committed advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), serving on institutional and national committees. He also supports researcher development through mentoring and postgraduate engagement, including leadership roles with the Royal Society of Chemistry funded UK's Analytical Science Network.
