About
My academic interests sit somewhere roughly between media studies, continental philosophy, and intellectual history, concerned with digital cultures, critical theories and discourses, and the civic role of the humanities in both historical and contemporary contexts. Across these broad and varied areas, I focus particularly on the cultivation of audiences, identities, and public personae and the ethical/aesthetic practices and technologies of selfhood by which individuals and communities fashion themselves and make sense of their position in the world.
My most recent monograph is (London: Bloomsbury, 2023).
