Refine your skills and deepen your knowledge in preparation for the RYA Advanced Powerboat certification. These courses help you gain the expertise to navigate powerboats safely and confidently. They'll cover a variety of day and night challenging conditions.

You will need these qualifications before you can apply to take the RYA/MCA Advanced Powerboat exam. This qualification, and the Advanced Certificate of Competence Commercial exam is crucial to operate powerboats professionally. 

The Advanced Powerboat exam qualifies skippers:

• for powerboats up to 24m length
• navigate up to 20 nautical miles from a safe harbour
• carry up to 12 passengers

This qualification is for professionals working in corporate entertainment RIB drivers to wind farm transfer crew. It is a milestone to obtaining the Yachtmaster Offshore (Power) Certificate of Competence. It is the most suitable MCA/RYA Certificate of Competence for skippers operating a wide range of RIBs.

A will pay £838.75 booking our Advanced Powerboat Package compared with a non-member paying £1,559 to book the courses seperately. This is a potential saving of £720.25!

You can cancel or reschedule a booking by contacting the Jubilee Sports Centre. Your options depend on how much notice you give us. Notice periods are based on the date of your booking, not on the start time.

We might need to cancel a booking if:

• the weather means we cannot safely run a course
• staff members are sick and their absence cannot be covered
• we cannot meet our minimum student-instructor ratio

If we need to cancel your booking, we’ll always try to give you at least 24 hours' notice. We’ll also offer to reschedule your booking.
